How It Works
You are not blackballed, but let me explain how this grumpy old guy basketball club works.
There is a "core" of players that have first right of refusal. Their window to register starts 9am on Thursdays until noon on Fridays. After that time, the acting Commissioner can fill the open spots. We take only 16. We have about 20 players on the "core" group and it can take months even years to be a part of this. It took me over a year of being on call before I got added. Someone has to die or move away to get an open spot, and even then, it goes to a vote from the core list of who get's in.
The core group votes when we have an open "core" spot to whom they wish to be added. The last vote was late 2023.
If you are interested in renting some gym time and creating your own basketball group. Let us know and we would be happy to help and even send you some players!
